NATIONAL RESTAURANT CHAIN TO PAY $2.85 MILLION TO SETTLE CHARGES OF BIAS AGAINST OLDER WORKERS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – EEOC representatives will host a press call to discuss today’s settlement agreement with Seasons 52, a national restaurant chain within the Darden family of restaurants. Seasons 52 will pay $2.85 million to settle a class age discrimination case spanning 35 restaurants nationwide.

The EEOC’s lawsuit sought relief for the applicants, age 40 and older, that had been denied front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house positions at Seasons 52 restaurants around the country.
