EDA's Economic Development District (EDD) Community of Practice, managed by the NADO Research Foundation (NADO RF), is hosting a webinar on the wealth creation framework known as WealthWorks, which seeks to build multiple types of capitals or assets in a community or region. This is the second of a series of quarterly webinar discussions, with the aim of showcasing how EDDs and others are using wealth creation in their work, while also creating a community of practitioners interested in learning about and building their practice around wealth creation.

Storytelling is a powerful tool for engaging community members, partners, and others invested in regional economic development. It can reach a broader range of audiences, expanding the potential for positive impact in this field. Dr. John Trybus, story scientist and director of Georgetown University’s Center for Social Impact Communication, will lead this informative session session that will feature three Build Back Better Regional Challenge coalitions from across the U.S. who recently participated in his storytelling workshops. In addition to sharing their stories, panelists will share how learning more about the science of storytelling has helped them in their wider efforts to implement transformational economic development strategies.
