In late July, NTIA revealed the long-anticipated state allocations for the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program, a $42 billion investment into the nation's broadband network. Now states, the District of Columbia, and territories must work on their initial proposals describing how they propose to run their grant programs. On behalf of EDA's Economic Development Districts Community of Practice, the National Association of Regional Councils seeks input from regional organizations, Councils of Governments, and Economic Development Districts on how they are coordinating with their state broadband offices as they develop these initial proposals and future required plans for the BEAD program.
