Recompete Pilot Program: Updated FAQs + Upcoming Webinar
To assist communities in the Recompete Pilot Program application process, EDA has updated its Frequently Asked Questions website, including #20, 23, and 24. The FAQs will be updated periodically during the application period to clarify questions we receive. Click here to view the updated FAQs.
A public webinar is scheduled for July 27 at 4 p.m. EDT. Register for the webinar here. Topics will include eligibility, application requirements and EDGE, the EDA application portal.
The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Phase 1 of the Recompete Pilot Program was released June 29. This new $200 million program is designed to make focused investments in communities most in need of economic resources and options to ensure that all communities have a path to economic prosperity. The deadline to apply is October 5, 2023.
Below are other helpful tips for prospective applicants:
- Review the “Resources” section of the Recompete Pilot Program website. EDA has added two supplemental guides to support applicants: “Illustrative Implementation Investments” and “Menu of Community Commitments.”
- Watch a recording of our July 11 informational webinar here.
-
Register as soon as possible in EDA’s new grant management system, EDGE, to ensure you don’t have issues with submitting your application. To create an account, you will need the organization’s Unique Entity ID (UEI) and basic contact information. If you do not have an active UEI, please register on SAM.gov. While not required to sign up for EDGE, an active CAGE code in SAM.gov is required when an applicant is selected for an award. See FAQs #51-61 for more information about EDGE. Once you have established an EDGE account, you can start your Recompete application here.
- Contact EDA with any questions. You can find your Economic Development Representative on our Contact Us page or email Recompete@eda.gov.
- Sign-up for Recompete Pilot Program updates by managing your EDA newsletter subscription here.
