Phase 1 NOFO Launched
EDA is now accepting applications for Phase 1 of the new Tech Hubs Program, which is designed to invest directly in high-potential U.S. regions to enable them to become globally competitive in industries of the future. This program will invest directly in regions with the assets, resources, capacity, and potential to transform into globally competitive innovation centers while catalyzing the creation of good jobs for American workers. Apply to Host an Economic Recovery Corps Fellow
EDA’s Economic Recovery Corps (ERC) is placing full-time fellows into organizations and regions to boost the capacity of communities to implement locally driven economic development strategies. Through a $30 million cooperative agreement with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the ERC will recruit and place more than 65 trained Fellows in economic development organizations throughout the nation. Tribal Economic Development Workshop
As part of the 2023 National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) Regional Conference in Denver, Colorado, EDA furthered its work to provide practical economic development strategies to Tribal communities. The panel included consultants, legal advisors, Native CDFI coalition members, and others committed to Tribal development who shared more on the Indigenous Community of Practice, strategies on building sustainable Tribal-owned businesses, and best practices for assembling a strong Community Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). National Small Business Week recognizes the critical contributions of America’s small business owners while also promoting and encouraging new entrepreneurship opportunities and resources. EDA has a long history of supporting small businesses through our Revolving Loan Fund program, which provides the capital to lending programs that services businesses that cannot otherwise obtain traditional financing.
