Status of Funds
EDA has received a high volume of applications and interest for its American Rescue Plan programs, and strongly recommends entities contact their local regional office to discuss availability of funds. [Read More]
Impactful Training
EDA provided critical technical assistance to Build Back Better Regional Challenge finalists as they prepare their Phase 2 applications and the information that was shared can be helpful to any community that is working to transform their regional economy, create jobs, or develop an inclusive economic development strategy for growth. STEM Awards
U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development Alejandra Y. Castillo visited Philadelphia to announce eight grant recipients of the $2 million STEM Talent Challenge. [Read More]

GOOD JOBS CHALLENGE
509 Applications Recieved
EDA announced it has received 509 applications for the American Rescue Plan Good Jobs Challenge. Applicant partnerships are comprised of State, local, and tribal governments, Institutions of Higher Education, non-profit organizations, and organized labor. EDA is working through a comprehensive technical review of all applications submitted and anticipates announcing approximately 25 to 50 awards in the summer of 2022. [Read More]
