Council Membership Applications Due December 1
Opportunity for EMS Leaders to Provide Insight & Guidance at the Federal Level

Nominations for emergency medical services experts to fill the 25 available seats of the National EMS Advisory Council (NEMSAC) are due Dec. 1, 2014. Representatives of various sectors of the EMS community will be appointed in April 2015 for the next two-year term to advise and consult with DOT and the Federal Interagency Committee on EMS (FICEMS) on EMS issues and initiatives.

Appointed NEMSAC members will meet in Washington three times a year during the two-year term.

Application Details: Applicants may self-nominate and must submit the following to NHTSA:

  • A cover letter addressed to the Designated Federal Officer, Drew Dawson
  • A resume or curriculum vitae
  • A short biography not to exceed 150 words
  • Up to four (4) letters of support with reasons for recommendation
  • A statement confirming the applicant is not a federally registered lobbyist
Applications may be submitted via email, fax or U.S. Mail and is further explained in a Federal Register notice.
