The Every Day Counts (EDC) Virtual Summit is open for registration! The Summit is an integral component of the EDC model that brings together transportation leaders and front-line professionals responsible for the development and delivery of highway projects to learn more about the EDC innovations. The EDC Round 7 summit will be conducted on February 14-16, 2023 and is open to all stakeholders to encourage creative thinking and celebrate a shared vision for new opportunities.

February 7: Community of Knowledge on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Data Considerations
All public agency staff such as state DOTs, cities, and federal agencies (including consultants and academics working directly with a public agency) are invited to participate in the next Community of Knowledge Webinar on Tuesday, February 7 at 2pm ET. The focus of the webinar will be exploring the relevance of background data and data quality assessment for LCA and EPDs. April 19-20: Sustainable Pavements Technical Working Group (SPTWG) Meeting
The SPTWG is a forum for information sharing within the pavement sustainability community, which provides technical input to FHWA on pavement sustainability. The next SPTWG meeting will be held in Delaware on April 19-20th. Registration and other details will be provided in the coming weeks.
EPA Seeks Input on Inflation Reduction Act Programs to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions Associated with Construction Materials and Products

Last week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the first opportunities for public input on new programs focused on lower carbon construction materials made possible by a $350 million investment from President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. The Agency will hold three public webinars and will accept written feedback on establishing new grant and technical assistance programs, and a carbon labeling program for construction materials with substantially lower levels of embodied greenhouse gas emissions.
