Bulletin Brief: March 13, 2025
Rural and Tribal Assistance Pilot Program
Amended Notice of Funding Opportunity
Application Opening - Tuesday, March 18, 2025
The Rural and Tribal Assistance (RTA) Pilot Program initially issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) on December 19, 2024, announcing $27 million available to award to transportation projects in rural and tribal communities. This NOFO has been amended as of March 13, 2025, to remove references to rescinded Executive Orders and align with new Executive Orders. The application questions for both Single Project and Multi-Community grants have also been updated to reflect these changes.
Updated versions of the NOFO, Single Project application questions, and Multi-Community application questions are available on the RTA Program webpage and the grants.gov opportunity listing. Redlined versions of these documents are also available on both sites.
Applications will be accepted beginning March 18, 2025, at 2 p.m. ET on a first-come, first-served basis. The application portal will close on April 17, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. ET.
