The Challenge will make up to $5,000,000 in cash prizes available to designers who develop solutions to enable individuals with physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities to use automated vehicles. Stage I of the Challenge is now open and invites teams from academic and research institutions, the business sector, and technology companies to compete for one of several $300,000 semifinalist prizes through the submission of proposals describing hardware or software solutions.

This webinar will provide participants with an introduction to the Inclusive Design Challenge, including:

  • The objectives, structure, and timeline of the Challenge
  • Rules and requirements for submitting a Stage I proposal
  • Resources available to participants to support the development of their proposal

The webinar will also allow an opportunity to ask questions of U.S. DOT representatives.
