Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day!

Today the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs joins Americans across the country in celebrating the spouses of our nation’s service members and honoring the significant sacrifices they make. OFCCP is passionate to be a resource and advocate for military spouses in the workplace. 

We enforce the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), which makes it unlawful for a federal contractor to discriminate in employment against a qualified individual who the contractor knows to be the spouse of a protected veteran.

• OFCCP’s Military Spouses Frequently Asked Questions outline the protections and resources available to military spouses.
• The Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) also provides resources for protected veterans and their spouses and provides information in its online portal.
