The Contractor Compliance Institute (CCI) is our new on-demand learning management system that is designed to provide federal contractors with compliance assistance tools to comply with our equal employment regulations.
The latest online course we added to CCI is Developing Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs). This course has five modules that are scenario based, designed to provide guidance on how to develop AAPs. Federal contractors can take this course to learn and develop the necessary skills to comply with their nondiscrimination and affirmative action requirements.
The course modules cover the following topics:
- AAP Overview
- Who is Responsible For AAPs
- The Data You Need When Creating AAPs
- AAP Components and Contractor Commitments
- Auditing Personnel Processes and Addressing Issues
OFCCP is committed to providing proactive, meaningful compliance assistance to help contractors understand and meet their equal employment opportunity obligations. We hope the release of the Contractor Compliance Institute will further this aim and serve as a useful tool for federal contractors.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has issued a temporary exemption from certain federal contracting requirements. For a period of three months, from March 17, 2020 to June 17, 2020, and subject to possible extension, new federal contracts to provide COVID-19 relief efforts will be exempt from several obligations under Executive Order 11246; The Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended; and Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
