OFCCP has proposed to codify current procedures in its regulations including an expedited conciliation option for more efficient resolutions.
“This proposal aims to provide greater certainty and transparency about the procedures that OFCCP follows during compliance evaluations to resolve employment discrimination and other material violations,” said OFCCP Director Craig E. Leen.
The proposed rule formalizes two of the notices that provide federal contractors with an opportunity to respond to agency findings. It also adds a new expedited resolution option to OFCCP regulations, which allows federal contractors found in violation to enter directly into a conciliation agreement.
Comments are welcome and must be submitted electronically on Regulations.gov, by fax or mail. See the Federal Register notice to learn more about the proposed rule. Comments must be submitted by January 29, 2020.
