OFFCP Hires New Ombudsman To Improve Compliance Assistance

OFCCP is excited to announce that Marcus Stergio has been selected to serve as the agency's new Ombudsman.

The Ombud Service will provide an impartial and independent perspective to enhance communication between OFCCP and external stakeholders on agency matters and facilitate the resolution of stakeholder inquiries. The creation of the Ombud Service is part of the U.S. Department of Labor’s department-wide initiatives to improve compliance assistance.

"The Ombud Service fits squarely within the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs' broader initiative to improve transparency in our compliance evaluation and compliance assistance activities," said OFCCP Director Craig E. Leen.

Marcus' first assignment will be to design and implement OFCCP's Ombud Service to facilitate the fair and equitable resolution for specific types of issues raised by OFCCP stakeholders in coordination with regional and district offices.

OFCCP first announced our plans to develop an Ombud Service on September 19, 2018.
