DOL VETS’ Transition Assistance Program
Every year, approximately 200,000 men and women leave U.S. military service and return to life as civilians. Led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s VETS team, the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is a combination of online curriculum and events to support the transition into civilian life and employment.
Through employment preparation and career exploration workshops, TAP provides information, tools, and training to ensure service members and their spouses are prepared for their next step.
This program is available at select military installations worldwide and provides transitioning service members, and their spouses, with one-on-one career assistance to help them secure meaningful and lasting post-separation careers.
