Labor Trafficking, Identifying and Reporting

Labor Trafficking Wallet Card and Human Trafficking Fact Sheet

OSHA released a new wallet card, Identifying and Reporting Labor Trafficking, that is in English on one side and Spanish on the other.

The agency also released a fact sheet in English and Spanish on stopping human trafficking.

Heat Illness Brochure and Poster Now in Additional Languages

OSHA's Prevent Heat Illness at Work brochure is now available in English, Spanish, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Haitian, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Tagalog, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

Workers Memorial Day Resources

OSHA's Workers Memorial Day 2023 poster is now available in English and Spanish. Visit osha.gov/workers-memorial for more details about this year's events, including the OSHA and Mine Safety and Health Administration joint ceremony on April 27, 2023 at 1 PM ET. This event will be in-person and live-streamed.

OSHA Fall Stand-Down Resources

OSHA is gearing up for the 10th annual National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls: May 1-5, 2023. New agency-developed resources include:

Event poster in English and Spanish
Video Public Service Announcement (PSA) in English and Spanish.

CPWR is accepting orders for hard hat stickers and hazard alert cards here by April 12, 2023, and links to numerous resources from their One-Stop Stand-Down Shop.

Updated PPE Booklet

OSHA has updated its booklet to assist employers and workers in selecting, using, and maintaining personal protective equipment.

Updated OSHA Handbook

The "All about OSHA" handbook that gives an overview of the agency and its policies, procedures, and programs is updated in English and Spanish.

Updated Employer and Workers' Rights Booklets

OSHA updated two booklets: Employer Rights Following a Federal OSHA Inspection and Workers' Rights.

Whistleblower Protection for Aviation Employees

OSHA has updated its fact sheet (in English and Spanish) on Whistleblower Protections for aviation industry employees.

On-Site Consultation Brochure in Spanish

OSHA's On-Site Consultation Program Brochure is now available in both English and Spanish.

Mold QuickCard now in Portuguese

The QuickCard is now available in Portuguese, in addition to English and Spanish.

OSHA Rulemaking Updates and Stakeholder Meetings

Below are current opportunities to engage with OSHA:

By April 14, 2023: Comments regarding the modernization of Voluntary Protection Programs are due.
By April 17, 2023: Comments and requests for an informal hearing on Oregon State Plan: Proposed Final Approval.
May 10, 2023: Whistleblower Stakeholder Meeting on outreach and training efforts. Register by May 3, 2003 in English or Spanish; Comments due by May 24, 2023.

Distracted Driving Awareness Month

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month. Promotional and educational resources are available from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the National Safety Council.

National Work Zone Awareness Week

This annual event, panned for April 17-21, 2023, encourages drivers to slow down and stay focused while approaching and passing through a roadway work zone. Resources at nwzaw.org include a poster, social media images (here and here), a promotion guide and a planning guide.

National Stand-Down to Prevent Struck-By Incidents

Planned to coincide with NZWAW, April 17-21, 2023, this event promotes awareness of struck-by incidents, which are the number one cause of nonfatal injuries in construction and the leading cause of death among heavy and civil construction workers. Resources include a Save the Date, an infographic in English and Spanish, and a flyer with a sample agenda. A kickoff webinar will be held April 17 at 2 PM ET.
