Workers’ Rights Wallet Cards and Public Service Announcements

OSHA released a new wallet card, Is Your Employer Putting Your Safety at Risk?, that features one side in English, and the other side in Spanish, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Korean, or Portuguese.

OSHA also released a short PSA on workers’ rights in six languages:

Mpox Fact Sheet

OSHA’s new fact sheet addresses possible workplace exposures to the virus and provides information for both employers and workers.

Shipyard Fact Sheet

OSHA’s new fact sheet, Protecting Workers from Physical Hazards in Confined Spaces, addresses identifying, evaluating, and controlling physical hazards in confined spaces in maritime industry workplaces.

Below are current opportunities to engage with OSHA:

National Advisory on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH) Virtual Meeting: January 10, 2023, 2-4 PM. Spanish audio interpretation will be provided.
Nominations for the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) and the Maritime Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (MACOSH) are due January 13, 2023.

2021 BLS Injury and Fatality Data

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released its summary of the 2021 Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses Data (SOII) and a summary of the 2021 national Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI).
