Temporary Worker Bulletin Addresses Heat 

OSHA's new publication, Exposure to Outdoor and Indoor Heat-Related Hazards is the twelfth in a series of Temporary Worker Initiative (TWI) bulletins addressing the shared responsibilities of host employers and staffing agencies in protecting the safety and health of temporary workers. More information is available at osha.gov/temporaryworkers.

OSHA's new fact sheet, Reducing the Risk of Worker Exposure to
Disease-Carrying Ticks addresses worker exposures to infected ticks that may result in diseases such as Lyme disease.

NIOSH and the NORA Services Sector Council—in partnership with the American Society of Safety Professionals, the American Staffing Association, and the Safety and Health Assessment and Research for Prevention (SHARP) Program within Washington State’s Department of Labor and Industries— released Best Practices to help host employers better protect the safety and health of temporary workers.
