Renews
commitment to making safety a priority
WASHINGTON – The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will recognize
Workers’ Memorial Day on April 28 by holding various events throughout the
country.
American workers are the backbone of our nation’s prosperity
and a focal point of President Trump’s “America First” agenda. With the recent
increased growth in manufacturing, mining and construction industries, OSHA
renews its commitment to making safety a priority through education, training
and collaboration with American workers, businesses and state partners.
At events nationwide, OSHA will honor those who have been
injured or lost their lives in the workplace, helping to support and strengthen
our nation.
For more information, visit OSHA’s Workers’ Memorial Day
webpage. All local events are free and open to the public. You can also learn
more about OSHA by visiting www.osha.gov.
Under the
Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, employers are responsible for
providing safe and healthful workplaces for their employees. OSHA’s role
is to ensure these conditions for America’s working men and women by
setting and enforcing standards, and providing training, education and
assistance. For more information, visit www.osha.gov.
