The Impact of 40 Years of VOCA: Conversations With the Field

The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) invites you to listen to the two latest editions of the Office of Justice Programs’ Justice Today podcast to learn about the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), which was signed into law 40 years ago on October 12, 1984.

In the first podcast episode, OVC Director Kristina Rose and prominent victim advocates Steve Siegel, Herman Millholland, and Anne Seymour discuss the history of VOCA, trailblazers in the victim services field, and major accomplishments from the past four decades.

The second podcast episode features a conversation between Director Rose and Abrianna Morales, Victim Advocacy Corps Program Manager, and student fellows Thanh Nguyen and Grace Chungu as they discuss the impact of VOCA and the future of victim services.
