Since 1981, the observance of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieving justice for all victims of crime. During NCVRW, we recognize the accomplishments of the victims’ rights movement and reflect on how far we have come. In 2025, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week will be commemorated April 6–12.
In commemoration of NCVRW, OVC hosts the National Crime Victims’ Service Awards Ceremony to acknowledge individuals, teams, programs, and organizations that demonstrate outstanding achievements or extraordinary acts in support of victims and survivors and expand access to justice across all communities.
