Important Submission Guidelines!

Applicants must submit the required documents in by the deadline to proceed with the final application submission in JustGrants. Applicants will not be able to finalize their application in JustGrants if the deadline is missed. Applicants are encouraged to submit all application materials at least 48-72 hours prior to application deadlines to allow time to correct any problems or errors.


Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program - Local Solicitation

The JAG Program is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to states and units of local government. BJA will award JAG Program funds to eligible units of local government as described in this opportunity.

Restrictive Housing Reform Implementation Assistance Program

BJA seeks a training and technical assistance (TTA) provider and subject matter experts to help state correctional agencies implement changes to their trainings, policies, and practices to reduce their use of restrictive housing.

Collaborative Crisis Response Training Program

This initiative seeks to implement transdisciplinary crisis response training to educate and prepare law enforcement and correctional officers so that they are equipped to appropriately interact with people who have behavioral health conditions or disabilities in the course of completing their job responsibilities.

Preventing School Violence: BJA’s STOP School Violence Program

This program is designed to improve K-12 school security by providing students and teachers with the tools they need to recognize, respond quickly to, and help prevent acts of violence and ensure a positive school climate.

The purpose of this solicitation is to fund national in-scope training and technical assistance efforts to support law enforcement, prosecution, and analysis within key criminal justice operations.

Small, Rural, and Tribal Body-Worn Camera Program

This competitive microgrant solicitation will fund body-worn cameras to law enforcement departments with 50 or fewer full-time sworn personnel, rural agencies, and federally-recognized Tribal agencies.

In FY 2021, applications will be submitted to the Department of Justice in a new two-step process.

  • Step 1: Applicants will submit a SF-424 and a SF-LLL in
  • Step 2: Applicants will be invited to submit the full application including attachments in JustGrants.
