Learn about the Office for Victims of Crime’s New Tribal Division

In November 2019, President Trump signed an executive order establishing the Task Force on Missing and Murdered American Indians and Alaska Natives, stating “we will leverage every resource we have to bring safety to our tribal communities, and we will not waiver in this mission.”

We are pleased to release this video message from Director Jessica E. Hart demonstrating the Office for Victims of Crime’s commitment to fulfilling this mission with the establishment of a new Tribal Division. This new division will ensure the Office for Victims of Crime is appropriately staffed to serve American Indian and Alaska Native communities by streamlining the distribution and management of tribal grant awards.

Watch the video to learn about this new division and other efforts by the Office for Victims of Crime to meet the needs of our grantees and the victims they serve.
