Upcoming JustGrants Planned Outage

ALERT: Due to planned DOJ financial management system upgrades, JustGrants will be unavailable for users from Friday, May 13, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. ET to Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. ET. During this time, users will not be able to access JustGrants.

During a planned system upgrade of the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) financial management system, JustGrants will be unavailable from Friday, May 13, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. ET to Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. ET. The DOJ financial management system and JustGrants systems are closely integrated, therefore, JustGrants must be offline when the financial management system is unavailable. If you attempt to access JustGrants during the outage, you will receive a service dashboard message indicating that JustGrants is offline and will be back online at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

To prepare for the system outage, we advise you to complete any time-sensitive actions in JustGrants as soon as possible and before Friday, May 13, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. ET. All work on applications that has been saved prior to the outage will not be lost.

As a reminder, JustGrants is routinely unavailable from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. ET on weekdays and between 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday and 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday to allow for the transfer of data between DOJ’s financial management system, the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Department of the Treasury’s Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP) system.

Please note that Grants.gov will not be affected by the May 13-18 JustGrants outage. Applicants may continue to apply for solicitations in Grants.gov during the JustGrants outage. After receiving a confirmation email from Grants.gov, the Application Submitter will receive an email from JustGrants with instructions for JustGrants login. However, the Application Submitter will not be able to log in to JustGrants until the system is back online on Wednesday, May 18 at 10:00 a.m. ET. At that time, when the Application Submitter logs in to JustGrants, they will find the information submitted in Grants.gov populated in the JustGrants application.

ASAP Availability

ASAP will be available for grant payments during the JustGrants outage as long as the Department of the Treasury’s ASAP system is available. ASAP is a shared service provided by the Department of the Treasury for grant payments, which allows organizations receiving federal funding to draw funds securely through pre-authorized accounts established by the agency issuing the payment.

Solicitation Deadlines

Solicitations that were previously due in Grants.gov or JustGrants between May 13-18 have been extended to account for the outage. You can find open opportunities as they become available on these pages:
