***** PUBLICATION ADVISORY ***** BJS RELEASES TRIBAL CRIME DATA-COLLECTION ACTIVITIES, 2019 WASHINGTON— The Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Statistics today released Tribal Crime Data-Collection Activities, 2019. This report is the seventh in a series that began in 2011. It meets the requirement, established by the Tribal Law and Order Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-211, 124 Stat. 2258, § 251(b)), that BJS report, no later than July 31 of each year, on tribal data-collection activities and statistical findings. This report describes the data-collection activities during 2018 and 2019, and it summarizes the most recent statistical findings from the Survey of Jails in Indian Country and the Federal Justice Statistics Program. It also discusses BJS funding to enhance tribal participation in national records and information systems. TITLE: Tribal Crime Data-Collection Activities, 2019 (NCJ 252983)
