Opioid Settlement Funds: Investing in Prevention
Billions of dollars from opioid settlement funds are being distributed nationwide – and how these funds are spent will shape our ability to turn the tide on addiction. Shatterproof and Partnership to End Addiction recently hosted a webinar, Spending Opioid Settlement Funds: Guidance on Effective Prevention Investments. The discussion was moderated by KFF Health News and focused on key findings from their year-long investigation, together with Shatterproof and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, on how the settlement funds are being used. Participants also discussed how leaders can invest in evidence-based prevention strategies, leveraging guidance from the Partnership to End Addiction's new resource, Guidance for Investing the Opioid Settlement Funds in Primary Prevention. Please view and share the webinar recording for more on how to ensure the opioid settlement funds save lives for years to come.
