VOID Announces Fentanyl Education Effort
V.O.I.D., "Victims Of Illicit Drugs" has announced a new national effort to expand illicit fentanyl education for middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities. The initiative follows continued advocacy from V.O.I.D., who have urged policymakers and community partners to prioritize early, standardized drug-poisoning prevention education.
The program introduces a structured curriculum, built around the award winning documentary, "Dead On Arrival", which is designed to help students understand the dangers posed by illicitly manufactured fentanyl and emerging synthetic analogs. The curriculum includes classroom lessons, law-enforcement–supported presentations, digital learning modules, and screenings of the documentary “Dead on Arrival,” which explores how counterfeit pills containing fentanyl are reaching young people across the country.
According to V.O.I.D. Board Members, “Their goal is to give families, schools, and communities the knowledge they need to save lives,”. “Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent another family from experiencing this kind of loss.”
The initiative also promotes broader community engagement by encouraging schools to host annual fentanyl awareness events and offering training opportunities for educators, including optional continuing-education credits for fentanyl-specific professional development. V.O.I.D. aims to support school districts—especially those with limited resources—by providing materials, technical assistance, and access to credible, family-led prevention organizations free of charge.
V.O.I.D. hopes the initiative will strengthen national awareness and empower families with clear, actionable information about illicit fentanyl safety.

Together for Families Holiday Ornament
Every holiday season the DEA Educational Foundation in collaboration with DEA creates an ornament to celebrate and honor the work of the women and men of DEA. The centerpiece of this year’s ornament is “Together for Families,” which recognizes the key role that families play in preventing substance use and supporting loved ones. A portion of the proceeds will support the work of the DEA Educational Foundation which includes after-school programs that enable young people to participate in positive activities such as dance, baseball, and martial arts.
