 DEA Recognizes National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day
On August 21, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Administrator Terry Cole shared a special video message to mark National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day.
DEA New York Field Division was honored to take part in a rally at Times Square organized by Facing Fentanyl. They also joined The Black Poster Project and several partners at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City as they displayed and memorialized over 900 different posters of people whose lives were lost to the fentanyl crisis.
DEA encourages families and communities to keep informed about fentanyl year round.

Shatterproof is organizing walks to end addiction stigma and restore hope for those impacted by substance use disorder. Participants can walk with friends, family, and coworkers to transform how America treats and talks about addiction. Find your local walk or join the movement virtually from wherever you are.

The fifth Annual Lost Voices of Fentanyl Rally will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 9:30 AM at the National Mall, North East quadrant at the Washington Monument, Washington, D.C.
