DEA Podcast: 'Prevention Profiles: Take Five'
Prevention Profiles: Take Five is a podcast series that was launched in January 2018 as part of DEA’s Campus Drug Prevention website. Each episode is posted monthly and features interviews with individuals at the federal, national, state, and local levels, based around five questions related to preventing drug use and misuse among college students.
While the series focuses on college and university campuses, the interviews offer insights into prevention and substance use issues more broadly.
Recent interviews include winners of the 2024 Red Ribbon Week Campus Video PSA Contest; state leaders in prevention; and campus health and wellness professionals.

Johnny’s Ambassadors Hiring Teen & Young Adult Influencers
National non-profit Johnny’s Ambassadors is hiring teens and young adults (high school and college students only -- no adults) to create original videos about the harms of youth THC use for ANTI-420 DAY. On April 20, Johnny’s Ambassadors will flood Instagram with their anti-THC messages at www.instagram.com/johnnysambassadors/reels/.
SADD chapters, NHS chapters, Drama Clubs, Videography Classes, Student Councils, Coalition Youth Leadership Councils, Prevention Clubs, and those impacted by THC use are all encouraged to participate. Parents, school leaders, drama club teachers, and community leaders are asked to share this information with their students.
Participants are asked to share their story and/or provide education on why young people should not use THC. Students will be paid $25 for an individual user-generated content video, $35 for a group video of 2+ people in a dialogue, and $50 for a professionally produced educational video or skit with adult sponsor supervision (using video equipment-no phones-cue videography and drama clubs).
