Every month, the DEA Museum takes viewers behind the scenes to explore compelling stories about its most exciting artifacts.

This episode of "Stories from the Collection" highlights an important symbol for special agents: a BAT guidon. Basic Agent Training (BAT) guidons are forked, or swallow-tailed, flags assigned to classes of new recruits that complete coursework and challenges to become DEA special agents. Learn what it takes to serve DEA and why each flag is dedicated.
