Applicants to OVW’s Legal Assistance for Victims Grant Program (LAV) experiencing technical difficulties beyond their reasonable control, such as issues registering with the JustGrants system or completing and submitting an application in JustGrants, should contact the OVW help desk at OVW.JustGrantsSupport@usdoj.gov as soon as issues arise. The application due date is February 3, 2021 11:59 pm ET. Please do not wait until the application due date to report issues.
Applicants experiencing such technical issues can submit their application by email to the Legal Assistance for Victims Grant Program email address: OVW.LAV@usdoj.gov. When submitting the application by email, applicants must already be registered in SAM.gov and Grants.gov and should include their Grants.gov application number in the email subject line along with their Entity Name. Note: The Grants.gov deadline (SF-424 and SF-LLL) did not change and is still February 1, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Applicants must include all required application components (SF-424, SF-LLL, abstract, data requested with application, project narrative, MOU/MOE, budget and budget narrative, disclosures, assurances, and certifications as specified within the LAV solicitation) in their email before the JustGrants application deadline, February 3, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Because the JustGrants application process anticipates applicants completing their budgets within the system, applicants will need to use the attached example worksheet to submit their budgets with their emailed application package. Applicants who submit their LAV application packages via email will be required to submit full applications in the JustGrants system at a future date as directed by OVW.
At this time, permission to submit an application via email only applies to the LAV solicitation.
Applications submitted after the application due date will not be considered unless they have followed the late submission process described in the solicitation under “OVW Policy on Late Submissions/Other Submission Requirements”.
