If You Are a Remote Worker:
Remote workers must begin coding all remote work hours in Quicktime starting this pay period (pay period 2024-09).
How to code remote work hours:
In Quicktime, enter your hours worked in week one and two. Place a “2” (this is the code for remote work) in the “TRI” column for all regular time (Hours Code 010) and, if applicable, credit hours earned (Hours Code 230) working remotely.
The TRI column is only used to capture time spent remote working. The TRI field should not be used to capture non-working hours (e.g., leave, holiday, or non-regular time (e.g., credit hours used)). The “TRI” column should be blank when capturing hours not spent remote working or working away from the remote work duty station (e.g., travel).
CORRECT Example of remote work coding using Regular Hours (2) and Annual Leave (Annual Leave is left blank in the TRI column).
INCORRECT Example of remote work coding (TRI code should be blank for Hours Code 020 (annual leave)).

Remote workers are encouraged to save their timesheet with their typical remote work schedule along with the new remote work coding as their default schedule. Saving a schedule as the default schedule will ensure remote work codes automatically populate each pay period. The “Save as Default” button is located at the top of the Payroll screen.
Supervisors: You are responsible for verifying that teleworker and remote worker coding is done properly when certifying time. Corrections should be made prior to certifying if a timesheet is not compliant.
