New Pay Codes in the Federal Personnel Payroll System

This memorandum is intended to be shared with all appropriate staff.

Effective April 14, 2023, Processing Pay Period (PPP) 202309, the Interior Business Center implemented the following new pay codes in the Federal Personnel Payroll System (FPPS). The first used of these pay codes will be on the Labor Cost File (IFIL0010), Flat File (IFIL0027), and Max Combined File (IFIL0043) generated the week of April 23, 2023, following the calculate of PPP 202309, and are for your information and internal reporting needs.

PB4 Parental Bereavement Leave – Used (1^st Occurrence)

PB5 Parental Bereavement Leave – Used (2^nd Occurrence)

PB6 Parental Bereavement Leave – Used (3^rd Occurrence)

PB7 Parental Bereavement Leave – Used (4^th Occurrence)

PB8 Parental Bereavement Leave – Used (5^th Occurrence)

The table below includes detailed processing information that may be used to determine whether changes are needed in an agency’s internal systems. This table includes the above pay codes and any additional changes impacting the Labor Cost File and Combined Files also available via DataMart.
