In collaboration with IBC and GSA, the Cannon Design team is developing concepts to modernize what began as a 150,000 square foot World War II Munitions Plant, followed by the National Archives and Records Administration warehouse into a modern, highly efficient work environment for our IBC.
The Building 48 Information Portal now includes Initial Conceptual Design Renderings like the one above. These renderings provide an overview of the exterior of Building 48, conceptual design of interaction zones, and renderings of the Forest – a double-height space linking the first floor to the basement conference center. These renderings are initial concepts and may change as the project progresses.
The team is also finalizing the design, which will build on the warehouse's inherent and compelling interior attributes and:
-
Introduce an abundance of natural daylight
-
Install high performing, energy-efficient building systems
-
Create unique, modern, and efficient office space for the IBC
-
Connect the structure's architectural relationship to the Denver Federal Center’s campus and IBC’s mission
