I am pleased to inform you that President Trump has issued an executive order closing federal agencies and excusing federal employees from duty on Thursday, December 24, 2020 the day before Christmas Day.

Charging your time
For pay and leave purposes, use Pay Code 050 - Holiday - Not Worked. An employee who was previously scheduled to take annual leave on December 24 will not be charged annual leave. Employees should adjust their leave request accordingly. If the scheduled annual leave was “use or lose” annual leave, the employee must reschedule and take this leave before January 2, 2021; otherwise, such leave may not be restored. Any employee who is required to work non-overtime hours on December 24 is entitled to holiday premium pay.
