Here’s something you don’t see every day: This red-winged blackbird almost appears to be hitching a ride on a red-tailed hawk! Mike White spotted these birds while visiting DeSoto and Boyer Chute National Wildlife Refuges in Nebraska and Iowa. Territorial blackbirds (among others) will often dive-bomb raptors.
