Learn More About the 2025 Renew America’s Schools Prize and Apply by April 3
DOE announced the third round of funding from the Renew America’s Schools Program on December 17, 2024, opening applications for $90 million in funding to support energy projects in K-12 schools. Using the same prize-to-cooperative agreement funding model as the previous round, the 2025 Prize will provide funding, resources, and support to help selectees reduce energy costs and create healthier learning spaces. Webinar on Building Commissioning: Turning Good Intentions Into Great Operations
On January 22nd from 11am PT | 2pm ET, join the Efficient and Healthy Schools Program and the Renew America's Schools Program to learn about the importance of commissioning new systems to ensure that they function properly. Commissioning is the key to making sure that schools get what they paid for before project turnover and while equipment is still within the warranty period. Learn from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory experts about the steps of proper commissioning: documentation, verification procedures, functional performance tests, validation, and training. This webinar will share resources that schools can rely on when planning for commissioning. Attendees will also hear from IDEA Public Schools (Texas) about how they instituted a new policy to engage an independent third-party commissioning agent (CxA) and found significant improvements.

2024 Clean School Bus Rebate Program Application Deadline:
4 PM ET on Thursday, January 9th, 2025
EPA is offering up to $965 million for electric, propane, and compressed natural gas school buses through the 2024 Clean School Bus Rebate Program. Don’t miss out on this AMAZING opportunity to receive up to $325,000 per bus to help your community make the transition to clean school buses! To allow for more transformative projects, the EPA has increased the maximum number of buses funded per application from 25 to 50 school buses. Please submit your application and all relevant materials through the Applicant Dashboard.
