Help DOE Develop Effective Green Building Workforce Programs by Responding to Our Request for Information
The Department of Energy released a Request for Information (RFI) seeking public input on $250 million for three new workforce programs established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act.

- The Energy Auditor Training Program helps states train individuals to conduct energy audits of commercial and residential buildings.
- The Career Skills Training Program helps nonprofits develop classroom instruction and on-the-job training for students to obtain an industry-related certification to install energy efficient buildings technologies.
- The Contractor Training Program helps states and nonprofits develop energy efficiency curriculums that train and certify residential contractors.
These programs will help grow a resilient clean energy economy with a diverse and equitable workforce. Respond to the (optional) RFI by Jan. 26, 2023, at 5 p.m. ET.
