The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) released a new Carbon Management Resource Portal, a user-friendly platform that can be used to find and access reports, fact sheets, data, and other information on a variety of topics related to carbon management.
"Carbon management" encompasses a variety of technologies and pathways that reduce carbon dioxide emissions in support of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Some of these technologies include carbon capture; hydrogen with carbon management; carbon transport, storage, and conversion; and carbon dioxide removal.
This portal aims to help communities and other stakeholders access information grounded in science to better understand carbon management technologies.
Through this portal, stakeholders can:
- Learn about different carbon management technology areas.
- Find carbon management information in different formats—including videos, infographics, fact sheets, FAQs, and peer-reviewed research articles.
- Ask Department of Energy experts questions about the information in this portal.
