The crisis in Ukraine and subsequent events on the world stage have demonstrated how crucial it is to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and deploy clean energy technologies—and how critical the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management’s (FECM) work is to that transition.
At CERAWeek this month, I highlighted the importance of our work during meetings with government and energy sector leaders. Read our CERAWeek recap blog post to learn more about our discussions on tackling the climate crisis, developing technologies to manage carbon emissions and advancing the energy transition.
This month also saw the release of The Carbon Capture, Transport and Storage Supply Chain Review: Deep Dive Assessment, one of 13 deep-dive assessments developed for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) report, America’s Strategy to Secure the Supply Chain for a Robust Clean Energy Transition. You can read the quick takeaways on why carbon capture and storage (CCS) was determined to carry low supply chain risk in our new blog post and fact sheet.
As we head into April, watch your inbox for a Save the Date for the Carbon Negative Shot seminar we are planning for this summer!
