The future of energy offers tremendous promise not only of cleaner and more efficient power generation and distribution, but of delivering more equitable outcomes that benefit all Americans. And if you read the Office of Energy Justice and Equity’s (EJE) 2024 Summer Spotlight Series, you will see some examples of why.
This summer, as part of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) commitment to establishing a highly skilled and diverse energy workforce, EJE welcomed eight interns from the Minority Educational Institutions Student Partnership Program and two interns from DOE’s Political Internship Program. During the 12-week summer internship, EJE interns worked alongside some of the best and brightest professionals and mentors across the DOE complex, tackled real world challenges, and contributed to meaningful projects. Their growth, curiosity, courage, and adaptability are a testament to their hard work and commitment.
