OCED announced its intent to fund up to $400 million to fund innovative, community-focused clean energy solutions in rural and remote areas across the United States. The anticipated funding aims to support the deployment of a variety of commercially available, clean energy technologies, demonstrating their viability and benefits to rural and remote residents, and ultimately encouraging widespread adoption. DOE Launches New Opportunities for Voucher Program
OCED, in collaboration with DOE’s Office of Technology Transitions, opened submissions for potential voucher recipients for in-kind commercialization support across a variety of categories, such as technoeconomic analysis, performance testing, certification, siting and permitting, and market assessment. Direct Air Capture Hub Project Cypress Community Open Houses
OCED is taking part in a series of Community Open Houses hosted by Project Cypress on September 14 and 16 in Louisiana. These open houses are to provide community members with an opportunity to meet the teams and learn more about the project including direct air capture technology, community benefits, workforce development, storage and transportation safety, and more.
