OCED Acting Director Visits Climeworks for Unveiling of Largest-Ever DAC Facility
OCED Acting Director Kelly Cummins joined OCED-funded Direct Air Capture (DAC) Hub technology provider for Project Cypress, Climeworks, for the unveiling of the company's new Mammoth DAC facility in Iceland—now the largest in the world. This new DAC facility is able to capture nearly 10x more CO2 at full capacity than its predecessor and represents another huge step forward in successfully scaling up DAC technology. OCED is laying the foundation to build up the industry to help address climate change on a global scale.
