New State RFIs for Advancing Clean Energy Projects
Marcos Marrero, Executive Vice President of Community Development for MassDevelopment, one of the Massachusetts state leaders who helped draft the new RFI, welcomes other states or agencies to "save on paperwork" and use their RFI model.
Solar for Schools
A growing number of states have expressed interest in using LPO financing to deploy clean energy technologies such as solar, storage, and charging infrastructure on schools across the state. These "Solar for Schools" projects could potentially also build in funding from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) clean energy and transportation tax credits. To highlight certain considerations that state leaders should understand about this concept, LPO Senior Consultants Hans Riemer and Elizabeth Bellis-Wolfe participated in a webinar hosted by DOE's Office of State and Community Energy Programs' Renew Americaβs Schools Program.
Clean Cities and Clean Transportation
Earlier this month, LPO Senior Consultants Tom Hucker and Wayne Killen joined the DOEβs Clean Cities and Communities national network to share how cities and municipalities can utilize LPO financing for charging deployment, as well as decarbonization efforts for fleets, ports, and more. During the webinar, presenters
Watch the recorded webinar and review the slides to understand what financing opportunities your community can utilize to decarbonize your transportation system and energy infrastructure.
