Updates
Watch the webinar: Learn from LPO, NYSERDA, Connecticut Green Bank, and New Jersey Green Fund
If you are looking to gain an understanding of how the SEFI loan authority works, as well as how several states are building SEFI programs with an aim to leverage LPO’s financing, please watch the recent webinar, “How State Energy Financing Institutions Are Designing Programs in Partnership with LPO.”
In addition to presentations from LPO, you will hear from NYSERDA about how they would like to leverage LPO to support large scale renewables projects; from the Connecticut Green Bank about how they are financing projects that are considering LPO financing; and NJ Economic Development Authority, which has a Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) out currently for a New Jersey Green Fund that may try to leverage LPO.
Read the blog: What is meaningful “SEFI” financial support?
LPO's blog frequently provides useful information for potential borrowers. One of the recent blog posts, “Defining ‘Meaningful Financial Support’ from a State Energy Financing Institution” details how LPO determines whether SEFI support is meaningful including how it evaluates the financial support provided, the risk level, or how the support matches market terms.
LPO's State and Local outreach team will be attending the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO) annual conference in Washington D.C. this February 6-9. Reach out to our team to set up a meeting during the conference, and we can help you learn more about the value that LPO adds to projects and opportunities to maximize state-funded projects.
LPO team members on site at NASEO will include contractors Hans Riemer, Elizabeth Bellis Wolfe, Tom Hucker, and Steve Boyd. If you want to meet during NASEO, touch base with your LPO contact.
If you do not yet have a contact, please reach to LPO's lead for State and Local outreach, Hans Riemer (hans.riemer@hq.doe.gov), to set up a meeting.
Select upcoming events where LPO staff will be attending and available for in-person meetings include:
- National Governors Association Winter Meeting in Washington, DC
- International District Energy Association CampusEnergy2024 in San Francisco
