If the Four Corners region of the southwestern United States is on your list of possible destinations this summer, your first stop might be the interactive website, Atomic Legacy Discovery Guide: Colorado Plateau.
LM is working toward protecting the Dolores River by addressing sedimentation issues stemming from the historic Burro Mines Complex in San Miguel County, Colorado.
By providing accurate, high-resolution data on site conditions while minimizing risk to field staff, LM's Aviation Program supports a greater mission to protect human health and the environment.
The scientists and engineers at LM are environmental professionals who see site closure as a measure of success because it means “mission accomplished.” Nature-based strategies are helping them get there.

During an annual inspection of LM’s Mexican Hat, Utah, Disposal Site, inspectors discovered several shallow depressions on the northeastern side slope of the cell. A team of federal and tribal experts worked together to assess and address the observed impacts through a unique interim cover repair effort that was completed in fall 2019.
