📅 Feb. 27–28 | Temecula, California
We are excited to announce that Tracey LeBeau (Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe) will be joining us as a speaker at the 2024 DOE Tribal Clean Energy Summit.
LaBeau leads a unique federal utility that delivers low-cost hydropower from 57 hydroelectric plants, provides transmission services, and markets energy to nearly 700 wholesale customers across its 15-state footprint.
An accomplished infrastructure executive, LeBeau has more than 20 years of experience in management, energy development, public-private partnerships, utility business operations, federal policy, and energy finance. She has served in executive capacities for numerous energy businesses, including an interstate natural gas pipeline, wind development company, and energy trading business.
We are approaching capacity for the 2024 DOE Tribal Clean Energy Summit with more than 600 registrants! General registration is now closed, but Tribal Elected Leaders and Tribal employees may still register until capacity is reached.
On-site DOE Program Office Hours
Meet with DOE staff during the Summit to get information and advice to move your clean energy projects forward:
-
Tribal Energy Financing Program: Staff from the Loan Programs Office will be available to discuss how Tribes can access capital through the Tribal Energy Financing Program, which has up to $20 billion available exclusively for Tribes and Tribal Economic Development Organizations to large-scale energy projects.
-
Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program: Receive application assistance for this flexible formula program. All 774 Tribes and Alaska Native Villages are eligible for grants ranging from $10,000 to $152,090. Funds can be used for energy planning, efficiency upgrades in public and private buildings, and more. Staff can answer questions and discuss potential project ideas, alternative application options, and detailed application support. Please visit the EECBG Program page for Tribes for application steps, technical assistance, and more.
-
Tribal Rebates Program: Find out more about the $225 million available for Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates. This program funds Tribal governments and Alaska Native entities to provide up to $14,000 per eligible household for energy efficiency and electrification home upgrades. Please visit the Tribal Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates Program page for requirements, funding allocations, resources, consultation materials, and more.
-
Office of Policy: Learn answers to procedural questions about clean energy tax credits and how Tribes can claim them through a new mechanism called elective pay – cash for clean energy. (Please note that DOE will not be able to provide tax advice on specific projects.)
-
Grid Deployment Office: Get grant application assistance for the Grid Resilience State and Tribal Formula Grant program. Staff will answer questions regarding the program and provide guidance on the application process.
