Discuss Operational Technology (OT) Challenges
Federal facilities must ensure their facilities are cybersecure, but connected operational technology (OT) can present unique challenges when it comes to asset management, reducing vulnerability, and gaining authority to operate. FEMP hosts a quarterly, virtual working group meeting for federal agency staff to discuss challenges and opportunities related to cybersecurity OT. This working group shares lessons learned with peers, identifies resources or training that may help address common questions across agencies, and enables interagency collaboration. Please note, this working group is for federal workers and their core support staff as it is meant to be an open and collaborative conversation among common stakeholders.
The next working group meeting will be hosted on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Participation is limited to federal agency employees. To express your interest in joining, fill out this form: https://forms.office.com/g/MH1KVcwa8X.
Participate in the Next Federal Labs Working Group Meeting
FEMP hosts a quarterly, virtual working group dedicated to empowering federal agency laboratory owners, managers, and operators to achieve their energy-related goals. The Federal Labs Working Group serves as a platform for coordinating activities and fostering the exchange of ideas focused on leveraging lab performance, best practices, and resources at federal agency laboratories and U.S. Department of Energy national labs. This working group collaborates on best practices, aligns safety measures with effectiveness in research environments, improves the ventilation effectiveness of federal labs, conducts laboratory ventilation risk assessments, and establishes dynamic management plans for federal labs.
The next meeting will take place Thursday, June 11, 2026. Participation in the forum is limited to federal agency employees and government contractors supporting the operation of laboratories in the federal sector. If you’re interested in attending, email Amanda Kirkeby (akirkeby@nlr.gov) to request to join.
