Every year, the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), a distinguished accrediting body dedicated to enhancing the global standards of continuing education and training, acknowledges organizations that have made substantial contributions to the field.
We're proud to announce that FEMP won the prestigious IACET Innovation of the Year Award for Learner Engagement for our Treasure Hunt training program and DOE Program Manager Nael Nmair received the IACET Distinguished Service Award for his exceptional contributions and leadership in the continuing education and training Industry.

FEMP is proud to share that this years’ 26 FEDS Spotlight honorees spanning 12 agencies were recognized with a ceremony and reception, held in Washington, D.C., during the FEMP 50th Celebration. These federal employees are taking action and going above and beyond typical day-to-day responsibilities to achieve mission success. Each person’s hard work enabled their agency to cut energy waste, reduce costs, optimize performance, and advance America’s progress toward energy independence, resilience, and security. FEMP Seeks Evaluators for the 2023 Federal Energy and Water Management Awards
FEMP is seeking volunteers to assist with the evaluation of the 2023 Federal Energy and Water Management Award nominations. Volunteers should be current or former federal employees supporting energy/water/fleet project or program management. Non-federal personnel may volunteer if you have worked directly in support of federal energy management programs with your primary work location at a federal government site.
If you or a colleague would like to volunteer, please email femp_communications@hq.doe.gov indicating your interest and your energy, water, and/or fleet qualifications by Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Please only volunteer if you will be able to complete your independent reviews online between October 16–November 3, 2023.

DOE Recognizes the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for Reaching 50001 Ready Status
At FEMP's 50th Celebration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was recognized for achieving 50001 Ready recognition status at their three federal sites – the Canine Training Center; Kennel; and the National Laboratory Center. The DOE's 50001 Ready program offers a self-paced, no-cost way for organizations to build a culture of structured energy improvements that lead to deeper and sustained energy savings.
