There were 12,620 service members enrolled in EFMP that participated in the Defense Department's first-ever Exceptional Family Member Program survey — and the results are in!
The survey asked about the different components of EFMP and how they help military families through MilLife challenges and transitions. Here are some stats at a glance.
Overall satisfaction:
- 83% of respondents expressed their family needs were met to some extent at the end of 12 months.
- 43% of respondents were satisfied with EFMP — with 25% neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, and 33% dissatisfied.
Components of EFMP:
- 65% of respondents were satisfied that Family Support providers acknowledged their concerns.
- 33% were satisfied with the overall assignment coordination process during their most recent move — with 27% neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, and 40% dissatisfied.
- 51% indicated that EFMP support did not make the PCS move smoother.
